“Apple Coaster”

You just purchased a handmade coaster filled with natural pigments.
Thank you!!!
A one-of-a-kind work, entirely handmade by Italian artist Copper Natura, that pays homage to Steve Jobs, one of the men who most transformed the relationship between technology, creativity, and everyday life.
Jobs’s face is encased in the iconic colors of the Apple, a nod to Apple’s history and its vision of uniting technology, design, and simplicity. Steve Jobs founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak and was instrumental in the creation of products destined to change the world, from the Macintosh to the iPod, to the iPhone and the iPad.
The work also contains a Ginkgo biloba leaf: a majestic and ancient tree, considered a true “living fossil,” that appeared on Earth over 250 million years ago. It is extraordinarily resilient, capable of tolerating extreme cold, urban pollution, and disease, and can live for as long as 3,000 years.
The unique and unmistakable leaves, fan-shaped (flabelliform) and divided into two lobes (hence the name biloba), are light green in spring, dark green in summer, and turn a brilliant golden yellow in autumn.
The leaf, a symbol of strength, endurance, and continuity, here becomes a metaphor for the immortality of ideas. Because a person can disappear, but what they created and imagined can live on.
Some curiosities about Steve Jobs
Before founding Apple, Jobs and Wozniak had already experimented together in the world of electronics and technology; to finance Apple’s early steps, Jobs sold his Volkswagen and Wozniak his calculator.
The Curious “Never Changed” License Plate
One of the most peculiar facts about Steve Jobs concerns his driving style.
For several years, Jobs drove a Mercedes-Benz without license plates, thanks to a peculiar interpretation of California regulations: he bought a new car every few months, taking advantage of the period allowed to drive with a temporary license plate before finally registering it.
The curious thing is that, according to some accounts, Jobs even regularly replaced his car with an identical model, thus avoiding having to apply a permanent license plate. It was an unusual and much-discussed choice, which over time became one of the many little oddities associated with his personality.
A curiosity that also speaks volumes about his personality: Jobs loved to look for unconventional solutions, even in everyday life.
Steve Jobs and his peculiar diet
Steve Jobs was known for having a very peculiar relationship with food. At times, he followed extremely restrictive diets, eating almost exclusively fruit and, at certain times, even just one type of food for days.
He was fascinated by the idea that a simple, rigorous diet could help maintain energy, clarity, and concentration. His passion for apples was so strong that the name Apple became one of the most recognizable companies in the world.
A significant curiosity: Jobs said he chose the name Apple partly because, during a period of his life when he was following a fruit-based diet, he had just returned from an apple farm.
A song by Copper Natura dedicated to Steve Jobs using the keyboard of one of his computers
Below, you’ll find a relaxing song created exclusively to honor this incredible visionary genius.
Played live on the handpan along with the “sound” of the letter “S” on the keyboard of the Apple IIe computer (Apple model released in January 1983);

A computer that was the third model in the successful Apple II series and replaced the Apple II Plus.
The “e” stands for enhanced, thanks to native support for lowercase letters and an extended keyboard. Longevity: It remained in production and on sale for an exceptionally long time, until November 1993.
This is not simply a coaster: it is a small piece of art, history, and nature, handcrafted and designed to tell the story of a person who left an indelible mark on our time.
