Bob Joint Coaster
You are holding a completely handmade coaster featuring a real cannabis leaf inside. A tribute to a unique and inimitable artist… Bob Marley.
Bob Marley was more than just a musician. He became the symbol of a musical style capable of speaking to millions about peace, freedom, love, and equality.
Born in Jamaica in 1945, he began dedicating himself to music at a very young age. Together with The Wailers, he helped take reggae beyond Jamaica’s borders, transforming it into a universal language.
Yet, behind the legend lay a man deeply connected to his homeland, to spirituality, and to the quest for a more just world. His songs told stories of life, hardship, and freedom—and, above all, the need for unity.
Some interesting facts: Bob Marley was also a huge soccer fan. During a friendly match in 1977, he suffered a foot injury that was later revealed to be related to a form of melanoma. Despite the illness, he continued to play and travel until shortly before his death in 1981, at just 36 years old.
Bob Marley played in Italy during the Uprising Tour in June 1980, specifically in:
Milan (June 27, 1980): over 100,000 people at the San Siro Stadium, with a very young Pino Daniele opening the event.
Turin (June 28, 1980): his second and final Italian performance took place at the Stadio Comunale in Turin in front of another huge crowd of fans.
His music, however, never truly died.
Even today—decades later—one of his songs can bridge the generational gap, reaching someone who wasn’t even born when Bob Marley was alive.
That is exactly what this coaster aims to be: a small fragment of a story that keeps traveling.
And perhaps, as you listen to his music, the most interesting question isn’t “Who was Bob Marley?”…
…but rather, “What can he still teach us today?”
Below, you can listen to a musical experiment: a reggae-style song created exclusively for you using the handpan—an instrument invented in Bern, Switzerland, in 2000, and one that is rarely paired with this type of sound. It is a song to keep for yourself or to gift to anyone you like for those most relaxing moments.
And below, a meditation to try and… savor.
Bob Joint Coaster Meditation
Take a few minutes just for yourself.
Sit back comfortably, dim the lights, and let the atmosphere become peaceful (lighting a candle makes the setting even better).
Then, grab your favorite drink or the cigarette, cigar, or pipe you love—but please, don’t place anything on the Bob Marley Drink coaster just yet; simply set your “essentials” to the side as you begin this little journey.
Start the music created by Copper Natura—available here exclusively for you (inspired by Bob Marley but incorporating an instrument that didn’t exist back then: the handpan)—and close your eyes.
Breathe slowly and deeply into your belly. Inhale through your nose, letting your abdomen gently expand… then exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing tension and thoughts.
With every breath, imagine gathering energy.
Let the rhythm of my handpan accompany your breathing and allow the music to carry you away—without needing to do a thing.
Throughout the track, simply listen, breathe, and let go.
When the music ends, slowly open your eyes.
Now you can finally place your drink on the Bob Marley coaster.
Leave it there for a moment, then savor it slowly…
Let every little moment become an experience of awareness and pleasure.
And then… let yourself go!
Get up, get your body moving, improvise a few steps, think of Jamaican rhythms, or simply dance however feels natural to you.
The energy you gathered during meditation isn’t meant to be held onto.
It is energy meant to be lived.
Thank you for your purchase.
Every contribution serves as motivation for me to keep going.
